360 degree surveys and reports to validate training

Thursday, Nov 10, 2016

In human resources or industrial psychology, 360-degree feedback , also known as multi-rater feedback, multi source feedback, or multi source assessment, is a process utilized by organizations to solicit information from a variety of workplace sources on an employee’s work-related behavior and/or performance. Most often, information solicited in a 360-degree feedback process will include feedback from an employee’s subordinates, peers (colleagues), and supervisor(s), as well as a self-evaluation by the employee him or herself. Such feedback can also include, when relevant, feedback from external sources who interact with the employee, such as customers and suppliers or other interested stakeholders. 360-degree feedback is so named because it solicits feedback regarding an employee’s behavior from a variety of points of view (subordinate, lateral, and supervisory). It therefore may be contrasted with “downward feedback” (traditional feedback on work behavior and performance delivered to subordinates by supervisory or management employees only; see traditional performance appraisal), or “upward feedback” delivered to supervisory or management employees by subordinates only. In an training environment the intention of the training can be measured, by soliciting feedback before the training and then after, and seeing if there has been a difference in the feedback scores.

Purchase options: Fully self-managed or Assisted self-managed.

Fully self-managed is where you do the work, you pay SelfStir directly and we assist where appropriate.

Assisted self-managed means that you set up your account, and pay for the surveys you use. Then you request us to be involved which can range from you using us when you want to, eg to set things up, through to asking us to take complete control of creating and sending surveys. When you ask us to take control, ie send out surveys, configure the system etc. we charge you for our time spent

How much does a survey cost?

It depends on your account however in the ‘Growth’ plan one survey costs USD $19 (about AUD$30), with no cost for ‘raters’ who reply to the survey request. eg: if you have 10 attendees who require a 360 at the beginning and end of a course, and these attendees have 6 people ‘raters’ then the cost is 10 (attendees) x 2 (surveys) x $19 = USD$380 (ie about AUD$600)
