Storage Limits and Prices

Saturday, Apr 4, 2015

There are three factors to consider when looking at using coursesales.com to store your files and manage file uploads.

  1. The file size accepted per field
  2. The storage amount for each month and
  3. Data transfer amount per month.

Fields are limited differently for internal and external uploads, the following table shows the upload limits by license:

License Per form internal upload Per form external upload Included Storage Included Transfer
Free none none none none
Multiple Trainers none none none none
Training Company 2 Mb none 1 Gb 1 Gb/month
International 5 Mb 5 Mb 50 Gb 10 Gb/month
Reseller 15 Mb 12 Mb 100 Gb 20 Gb/month

Beyond any free storage as mentioned above that your license offers you may wish to store student files with coursesales.com this can include scanned exam papers, evidence of certificates, or evidence of Visa applications etc. We measure how you use this storage service in two ways: the amount of data you store, and the amount of data you download from storage. We assume that you are going to mostly upload (no charge for that) so you can store quite a bit of data at relatively little cost, and you have peace of mind that it is backed up using Amazon’s S3 back up services.

Bulk File Management

Charges are AUD $20 + GST per month block which includes:

  • Storage: 100 Gb/month.

  • Data transfer (download): 20 Gb/month

  • Data transfer (upload): free

Conditions

Using more than the storage allocated or more data transfer means another block needs to be purchased in arrears. There are no refunds, no carry forwards of unused data (storage or transfer), blocks are billed in arrears based on usage for that month. Terms of storage based on http://aws.amazon.com/s3/sla/

  • Example 1 Paying for two blocks allows 200 Gb storage and 40 GB/month data transfer over any existing included storage.

  • Example 2 Storing 200 Gb for a year, on the Reseller license costs and keeping under 40 Gb/month transfer in any given month would cost AUD $20 x 12 = AUD $240+GST
